Polacy pokochali PPV?

Gala Polsat Boxing Night, której walką wieczoru było starcie Andrzeja Gołoty z Przemysławem Saletą, okazała się sukcesem sportowym, a także organizacyjnym. Dostęp do transmisji w usłudze PPV wykupiło ponad 120 tysięcy widzów.

Nie ukrywam, że wynik ten jest dla mnie ogromnym zaskoczeniem. Osobiście prognozowałem całkowitą klapę i sprzedaż na poziomie 10 000. Najwidoczniej nie doceniłem potencjału głównych aktorów sobotniego widowiska, w szczególności emocji, jakie wciąż wśród polskich kibiców wywołuje Andrzej Gołota. Gala Polsatu okazała się ogromnym sukcesem finansowym, więc tylko kwestią czasu jest kolejna gala transmitowana w systemie PPV.

 Najbliższą imprezą w PPV będzie czerwcowa gala KSW 23, na której po raz kolejny zobaczymy Mariusza Pudzianowskiego. W kontekście zaskakującego wyniku Polsatu trudno przewidzieć, jaki poziom sprzedaży osiągną właściciele Federacji. Wydaje się, że 100 000 to minimum, a 150 000 wcale nie musi być poziomem nieosiągalnym. Przewagą Konfrontacji Sztuk Walki jest większa dostępność relacji – KSW 20 można było zamawiać we wszystkich największych sieciach kablowych i platformach cyfrowych, podczas gdy Polsat Boxing Night transmitowana była jedynie w Cyfrowym Polsacie oraz Ipli. Potencjalna grupa odbiorców jest więc znacznie, znacznie większa.

 Dużo zależy też od ceny. KSW 20 sprzedawana była za 30 zł, ale gala z udziałem Gołoty i Salety pokazała, że kwota 40 zł  nie przestraszyła kibiców. A co przyszykuje dla nas Polsat? Od momentu opublikowania danych o 120 tysiącach PPV wiele osób zaczęło się zastanawiać, co dalej. Dość często pojawia się pomysł z „zaległą” walką Szpilka – Zimnoch, choć nie wydaje mi się, aby była to walka która ponownie przyciągnęłaby przed telewizory dziesiątki tysięcy widzów. I gdy zastanawiałem się, z kim na kolejnej gali Polsatu mógłby się zmierzyć Tomasz Adamek, z pomocą przyszedł Mateusz Borek:


Nie trudno sobie wyobrazić, że Szpilka niebawem odpowie na łamach prasy w swoim stylu. Zacznie się medialna przepychanka, która stanie się doskonałym gruntem pod kolejną wielką walkę transmitowaną oczywiście w systemie PPV.
